The pairing code isn't sent to the iPhone from the car, so you need to get the handsfree system in your car to the point where it is looking for a paired device, or ready to accept one. Your car's user guide, or the one that came with the nav system if it is separate, will explain how to do this. It will also tell uoi what the pairing code is. Once you have got the car to the right point, you then pick up your iPhone, go to settings, select general, then select Bluetooth. Make sure Bluetooth is ON (the toggle at the top of the screen) and under that you will then see 'devices' and the little wheel spinning. when it finds the car's hardsfree system, it will ask you for the pairing code, which you've got from the car's manual. enter that and select OK, and it should pair up. I don't have an Acura so I can't give you precise instructions, but the principle is the same for all these systems. And since the whole process takes no more than a few seconds usually, you may even be able to drop by your Acura dealership and ask them to show you.Read more...
Heres a watered down version... 1. Press the "Call" button and then a beep will sound. 2. Say "Phone Setup and it will say "Phone setup options are..." 3. Say "Pair" and it will speak the pairing instructions. 4. (a) Speak the 4 digit code that you will have to input into the blackberry pearl. (b) Make sure your phone is ready to be paired up at this point because it'll give you around 30 seconds to a minute... 5. Enter the code into the phone and it'll ask you to name the phone. Once the final step is done, the car will confirm that the phone is sucessfully paired. That's all there is in a nutshell. Also you should try to keep the manual in the car or somewhere safe. It contains alot of important information and you wouldn't want to have to go search it up on the forum everytime you need some quick information. Good luck.Read more...

The first step is making sure you have Bluetooth turned on. If it is, there should be a symbol in the top-left corner of the screen that looks like a blocky "B" with some sticks coming out from its back-end. If it's not there, swipe down from the top pane while you're on the home screen, and there should be a Bluetooth button there you can tap to turn it on. Once that's done, tap the actual word "Bluetooth" and it will launch you into the settings menu.Read more...

I can t seem to pair the incredible to my car s bluetooth. I ve had no problems with my previous two phones and I was able to connect my bluetooth headset to the incredible. Has anyone with a TL (or other Acura) successfully paired the incredible with their car? Any ideas on how I can get this thing to work besides getting a new car/phone? Update: Thank you everyone for the advice and support. I got it to work. Apparently the phone thought it was paired to the car. So once I unpaired it, everything worked. I have more details about it in a post further down this thread.Read more...
There have been a lot of Bluetooth changes in Android over the past few years. With SoundAbout, you shouldn't have to set phone call audio to Bluetooth mono as it should detect the Bluetooth phone and use it by default. I just uploaded another Beta version. The status bar settings are now merged with the SoundAbout service setting which simpler. There are also new Alert/notification/ringer settings. If you already have SoundAbout installed and you want to install the Beta, first go into phone settings, Manage apps, find SoundAbout and click it. Click Clear cache, clear data, force stop and un-install. Then install the new Beta fresh. I also usually restart the phone, just to start the services fresh as well. The beta is here:Read more...
Hi there The one thing I am a bit disappointed about the airblue device is that even at 10 feet away from my ipad the sound cuts in and out for a couple of seconds at times. I tried plugging the device into power at the same time but it didnt make any difference. It is a bit annoying. Otherwise is works fine, but given the cutting out I dont think that I would buy another due to this problem. Thanks for asking and hopefully my feedback will help to find a solution for this problem. Regards JarrodRead more...
I had no trouble pairing my 8X to my 2009 Acura TL. But this version of the bluetooth sucks apparently, because it no longer speaks in coming text messages and allow me to speak and send a reply. I could do that with my HTC Titan running WP7.5, but can't with this new software. Also, if I try to use Speech function on the phone to dial a contact while in my car, it doesn't hear what I am saying and just hangs, and then crashes all audio on my 8X so that I have to reboot the phone.Read more...
Yea, that last NOW should have been NOT. Sorry. The latest firmware does enable the extra features. Unfortunately this morning I had the issue a 2nd time. I'm confused about your mention of using the TRANSFER option. When mine drops the car no longer recognizes that there's even a phone there. While I never tried the transfer command, every other command I send tells that no BT phone was found. This time it was so bad that no matter what I did, I couldn't get the phone to be recognized again. I did a soft reset and even turned the car off and on. Still wouldn't see it. I finally decided to do a hard reset since I've been doing so much experimentation since I got the 6700. I guess I'l have to re-pair the phone when I leave for work. Unfortunately I don't know if I can handle the BT issues long term. It's a feature that's become very important to me. I'll try the TRANSFER option and see if it works. If it does, that would be acceptable. But if it doesn't work, I'm afraid I'll have to send it packing.Read more...

UPDATE: It finally connected after a reboot of the FlashPro, After the successful connection I set a Pin and rebooted my phone and flashPro again, and it never prompted for the pin on the phone, it just connected like it did the first time. So I then added and limit access by device's MAC of the phone to feel safe. Should I be worried that anyone could connect? I also noticed this morning I could not connect to the flashPro with my laptop till i powered down the FlashPro by completely disconnecting it from the car and the laptop. power down, cold boot. Before I did this I rebooted the laptop and it still would not connect, just had that red X. only green check was for divers. Also disconnected and reconnected the usb with no luck. fw bug? UPDATED AGAIN: I noticed that the only way after rebooting the FlashPro to connect again is to open the app, click on disconnect then go to reconnect and select the FlashPro again ;/. I thought a Bluetooth device stays in the phone's memory like it does for the cars Navi to auto reconnect? And when it is connected there no (i) info button that opens another window on the phone to see the device details?Read more...
Hello. Tech geek here trying to connect my 07 Acura TL-S and my 09 Acura TL SH-AWD to my iphone 4s, and ipad 3 with the GoPoint BT1 module. The iphone and the ipad both pair the BT module just fine. The Gopoint apps load and connect just fine with the module. The Dash Command returns "OBD-II Error" and "OBD-II interface not found". I have rebooted both devices. I have cleared all running apps. I have cycled bluetooth, plugged in the device after the vehicle was running as well as plugging it in before starting up. No connection. Just dropped $50.00 on the itunes store for this because it states that it supports the BT-1, but this does not seem to be the case. Any help very appreciated.Read more...
The Bluetooth Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP) allows to exchange Phone Book objects and call history between carkits and mobile devices. In other words, PBAP profile gives your car unit read access to your mobile phone book (to be exact: to both, the phonebook stored on SIM card and the phone book stored on internal memory. But for the N900 only second one is relevant). You're also able to browse call history using car unit aswell.Read more...

Bluetooth adapters are a simple way to connect your phone to your factory car radio. Once you pair your phone to the Bluetooth kit your phone and car stereo will be fully integrated. You will hear callers over your vehicles speakers while the directional microphone allows callers to hear you clearly with no headset or wires. If your phone has "A2DP" support you can stream and control music on most kits from music on your phone or even from Pandora.Read more...
