In order to extend the life of your vehicle and it's parts and to ensure your safety, it is essential to take the very best care of it by closely following the manufacturer's service guide schedule. Simple service tasks such as changing the oil and oil filter, rotating tires and fluid and spark plug maintenance can not only help keep your car or truck performing at it's best, it can also help maximize fuel efficiency. The following guide is the general vehicle service interval schedule as provided by the manufacturer, and may vary slightly from model to model, and year to year.Read more...
I would check them yourself, maybe the dealer is being a bit over zealous with their estimates. I have a 2006 TSX that has been to 6 track days and I still have the original rear pads (and fronts) @ 40k miles. Members on the Acurazine TSX forum have also reported their rears wearing before the fronts. They are pretty small compared to the fronts, and can wear faster depending on your driving habits. I have a 2006 TSX. As you may know there is no maintenance schedule in the owners manual. When I bought the car new I was told by the salesman that the ordinary maintenance interval was 4000. But I started by following the alerts on the maintenance minder. One of the service reps told me that mm really just tracked the mileage, And at first it did seem to alert at about 4000. But sometimes it seemed to pop up earlier. Anyway at close to 27000 my alert came on. I called for a service appointment. This rep said-- since you're pretty close I guess you want the 30K service. I pointed out that the mm probably wasn't going to light up anywhere near 30K and since I was working on a 4K basis I didn't know there was a 30K scheduled service. he told the mm was one of the most annoying things they had to deal with and the best thing to do was work on a strictly 5000 basis!I waited until I was about at 29000-- ignoring the dire flashing of my dashboard-- and took it in for the "30K". Now I'm at about 33500 and mm says service is need "soon"- 10% oil life. Should I wait until 35K? Do any of these guys know what they're talking about? The little sticker they put on the window seems set a 4000 from last service. I also read (someplace)that the mm works not on mileage-- but on volume gas consumed. Who should I follow-- man or machine? And if man, which one? Thanks. RickRead more...
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON 2. Select Trip A or Trip B (You can use either one, so if you are using one to record data for something, use the other one to reset … the Oil Life Indicator). 3. Press the button repeatedly until the oil life is displayed. 4. Press and hold the Select/Reset button for 10 seconds. The Multi-Information Display will ask for a confirmation. * a. If you are sure you want to reset the display, press the Select/Reset button for 10 seconds again. (This is the part omitted from the manual.) * b. If you do not want to reset the display, press the button to select "Cancel"Read more...
i don't know if there is an exact schedule. supposedly it is based on driving conditions, etc. from my experience, first one is usually an A service, followed by a B service, and alternating back and forth. The number beside the A or B is anything additional that needs to be done. For example, I think a '1' is for tire rotation. Each dealer charges slightly different, so better if you contact the dealer you think you will be going to for your service. Hope that helps.Read more...

If maintenance service is done by someone other than your dealer, reset the maintenance minder as follows: 1.
